I’m not sure about you, but when I get home from work, the last thing I want to do is whip up a super-complicated-extravagant snack that’s also healthy and satisfies those hunger pangs.
So I asked around, as well as looked on trusty Google for help, and was answered with these awesome treats 😍
They’re both gluten-free AND vegan and take only a few minutes to make!
I eat them as a pre/post workout snack as they give me the extra energy boost I need. 💪 What’s more they satisfy any sweet tooth craving you may have, and fill you up from the inside out.
The first snack on our list today is peanut butter choc dates. These are honestly like lil’ drops of heaven and have to be one of my all-time faaavourite snacks to whip together. Plus, they only take about 2 minutes to make!
What I love about dates is they’re not only delicious, but packed with health benefiting ingredients that help boost energy, reduce inflammation (with their high levels of antioxidants), promote healthy digestion, strengthen your bones and beautiful heart, and help improve nail, skin, and hair health! (What’s not to love! 😍).
The next item is a family fav of ours. Courtesy of @EarthyAndy, these delectable snacks are fantastic if you’re looking for a healthy vegan sweet fix to PoP in your mouth. 😉 They’re chocolate banana peanut butter PoPpERS and are super simple to create! 🤤 🍌
The banana frozen wrapped in creamy peanut butter and silky chocolate makes it tastes like mini ice cream bites! They’re a perfect snack for kids and adults alike, and are really fun to make!

PB & Choc Dates
- Medjool dates
- Natural peanut butter
- Vegan dark chocolate ( my go-to is Pana Chocolate)
To make at home – Split a medjool date open, take out the seed and stuff it full of nut butter and vegan chocolate for an extra ‘pop’
As an extra tip – Stick in the freezer to make it chewy like caramel! I like storing my dates plain in the freezer for this reason! NEXT LEVEL. So good!
Peanut Butter Choc Banana PoPpERs
You can leave as a popsicle or cut into bite size heaven bites!
This recipe makes about 4 POPPERS.
- 4 bananas
- 1 cup vegan chocolate chips
- 1 cup natural peanut butter (but not the kind that comes separated (with the oil on top) as that doesn’t stick)
- 4 sticks (optional)
- Place the stick in the banana, place in freezer until it has hardened slightly, then dip in melted peanut butter.
- Let harden in freezer for approx 20 mins, then dip in melted chocolate (I add a tablespoon of peanut butter in my melted chocolate for a lil’ something extra).
- Place back in the freezer to harden then VIOLA!! You’ve got yourself a heavenly lil’ treat!
TIP: Freeze the bananas the night before and stick the banana only a 1/4 of the way if you’re going to slice into pieces!
If you want an even easier way to make this treat, simply take the sliced banana, drizzle the ingredients over the top and freeze! It is…👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽🤤
