Who would have thought there would be a cookies n’ cream recipe that could actually be HEALTHY for you?! Crazy, right?!
When I discovered this recipe (another @EarthyAndy creation), I immediately got to work on creating it myself as cookies and cream flavour has long since been a love of mine, but something I haven’t had in a looong time because; 1. It’s not usually good for you (often being packed with artificial ingredients and sugar), and 2. Usually it’s not vegan-friendly. But when Andy brought out her epic smoothie recipe, I was overcome with excitement and couldn’t wait to start making it!
What I really love about this recipe is that most of the ingredients are things you’ll have at home already, so it doesn’t require anything fancy or extravagant to make (as sometimes, we ain’t about that complicated life 😜).
You can even bring out this super delish recipe at parties and make mini shakes with it! It’s a fun way to serve a crowd! Plus, see if they can tell it’s vegan, dairy free, gf, non GMO, and the list goes on!

Cookies N’ Cream Vegan Shake Recipe
In this smoothie feel free to omit the vegan choc chips and add a little more cacao powder or cacao nibs instead as a more healthy, antioxidant-rich boost!
Coconut sugar is a better choice of sugar than brown, white or even natural options like agave and maple syrup because it’s low GI, meaning it doesn’t spike blood sugar levels as fast! That’s why it’s the preferred sweetener (along with stevia) in my home.
LASTLY, adding ice and more liquid can make this recipe a little more enjoyable! (This is a better option for those that are not using a high powered blender).
- 5 frozen ripe bananas
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla bean or extract
- 2 tbsp almond milk
- 1 tbsp coconut sugar
- 1-2 tbsp cacao powder
- 1 handful ice (optional)
- Vegan chocolate chips OR cacao nibs
- Add all the ingredients, except the choc chips, then blend until smooth.
- Next, add in the choc chips (you can even add in a scoop of peanut butter too as an extra hit of nutty goodness), stir through with a spoon and voila!!
